Social networking finally helps you find the right size shoes and pants. This logo needed to be about sizing and social networking. Both the name and the logo were the result of Chris’ art direction.

Given enough time untended, and any UI can become cluttered. When it comes to moderated message boards with one code base and hundreds of high-tech clients, this is especially true. Drop-down boxes with over 25 commands located at the extreme top and bottom of a 1400 pixel display were getting out of hand.

It’s not everyday that a client asks you to blue-sky a time-based browsing metaphor for discussion boards. This component was designed to speed users to relevant content, but keep the context provided by clusters of comments on a time line.

When one of the biggest consumer software companies in the world needed a redesign, they came to Involution Studios. My focus was on the visual metaphor and graphical assets as well as trimming down existing functionality to its core for a widget-based tool implementation.

During the middle of 2007 Facebook was beginning to meet with top brands to talk to them about the power of Social Media. The message is very clear nw, but at the time, none of the top media companies quite had a handle on the importance of companies like Facebook.

Build the first family of branded icons for the world’s fastest growing payment site
PayPal was a young company and had no visual identity other than a logo and a basic color. They needed a set of icons that could be the foundation of a visual brand. The icons needed to represent core functionality which exemplify the new brand guidelines and help users quickly find content.

Bring unity and enthusiasm to a diverse engineering team
Quindi was a small company of 13 building a new way to capture meeting notes with multiple-camera video capture and synchronized note taking. They had an impressive team of engineers lead by the former head of Artificial Intelligence at Stanford University. The breakneck development schedule left little time for levity, or did it?
